About Thai Massage
This massage was founded by a Buddhist called Dr. Shivago. Buddhist temples were centres of meditation, healing and education. The instruction how to perform this treatment were taught orally and pracically first from generation to generation. Much later, it was written down on palm leaves. These texts were considered as sacred.
The treatment is performed on a mat on the floor. It incorporates deep stretching and pressures applied in a rhythmic, dance-like way. The ‘Sen’ energy lines follow the form of the body. Pressure is performed along these lines and points to aid all over energy flow.
This massage releases tension and increases flexibility. It is also called passive Yoga. Both, client and therapist, should feel relaxed and energised after the treatment.
